Top 20 cars in Feb 2026 – Bezza back on top, Saga 2nd; S70 and X50 outsold Traz; Aruz back in list, 20th

The latest road transport department (JPJ) vehicle registration data is out to show the Perodua Bezza regaining the top spot in the month of February 2026. With 7,031 units, the Bezza placed ahead of the Proton Saga that settled for second place with 6,007 units.

However, the Saga still leads in terms of year-to-date (YTD) registrations with 16,292 units compared to the Bezza with 15,462 units. Completing the podium is the Perodua Axia in third with 5,306 units (11,887 YTD).

After this comes the Myvi in fourth with 4,317 units (9,136 YTD) and Alza in fifth with 3,205 units (6,217 YTD) to complete Perodua’s near complete sweep of the top five positions last month. Proton makes its presence felt again by taking the sixth spot with the S70 and its 1,940 units (3,544 YTD) and X50 with 1,818 units (4,229 YTD), both placing ahead of the Perodua Traz that occupies eighth with 1,710 units (3,611 YTD).

Coming in ninth with 1,677 units is the Toyota Hilux (3,015 YTD) that managed to improve upon its January tally, while the registrations of the Proton eMas 5 in February was nearly half of what was achieved in January at 1,562 units (4,630 YTD).

In the second half of the top 20 list, we have the Perodua Ativa in 11th with 1,352 units (2,364 YTD) followed by the Toyota Alphard in 12th with 1,293 units (2,457 YTD), the latter figure inclusive of recon units.

In the 13th spot, we find the Honda City with 1,258 units (2,489 YTD), while the Toyota Vios takes 14th with 1,102 units (2,236 YTD). The Proton Persona might be on its way out this year but that hasn’t happened yet and the sedan posted 903 registrations for 15th place and a YTD total of 1,842 units.

Meanwhile, the Honda HR-V had another month where it posted over 800 units this year, with 833 units in February for the 16th spot and a YTD total of 1,671 units. It placed ahead of the Toyota Corolla Cross in 17th with 777 units (1,660 units).

Continuing on, we find Chery’s Tiggo series of SUVs in 18th with 752 units (1,806 YTD), while the final two models in the top 10 list are the Mitsubishi Xpander in 19th with 701 units (1,511 YTD) and the Perodua Aruz makes a return in 20th with 653 units (1,025 YTD).
