The Honda Freed can now be had in a new Modulo X flavour, more than a year after the second-generation model made its debut in Japan. As with most Modulo X models, this one gets its share of exterior and interior add-ons as well.
Beginning with what you can see on the outside, the Freed Modulo X receives a full body kit, comprising new bumpers front and rear, side skirts, and even a tailgate spoiler. Complementing these items are a black grille, side mirrors, plus LED fog lights (and DRLs). The sporty-looking MPV can also be fitted with a slightly lowered suspension setup and a set of 15-inch alloy wheels.
Moving inside, customers will find unique Modulo X seats, piano black trim, leather-wrapped steering wheel and dedicated floor mats. A nine-inch infotainment system with navigation function can also be specified, as well as a driving video recorder and Electronic Toll Collection transceiver.
The Modulo X can be ordered in either six- or seven-seat versions, coupled with a Sport Hybrid i-DCD or 1.5 litre DOHC i-VTEC powertrains. The Honda Sensing suite of systems come as standard regardless of model choice, and prices range from 2,830,680 yen (RM103,067) to 3,152,520 yen (RM114,785).
