Overview
The Honda HR-V is a five-seat B-segment SUV launched in 2025, with front-wheel drive and a choice of petrol or petrol-hybrid power. It suits buyers wanting a mainstream compact SUV with CVT or eCVT automatic transmission, from RM115,900. The range runs to RM143,900 and spans four variants.
HR-V in 2026 — what's new
The 2025-launched HR-V facelift carries into 2026. Its latest update gives the 1.5 V and 1.5 e:HEV RS a 360° view camera without a price change. The range still comprises 1.5 S, 1.5 E, 1.5 V and 1.5 e:HEV RS grades. Facelift changes include a wider grille and reprofiled front bumper; the RS alone gets matrix projector LED headlamps with active cornering lamps.

Which variant to buy
Most buyers should start with the RM130,900 1.5 E: it matches the 1.5 V’s 179 hp petrol output for RM7,000 less. On paper, check the equipment list before paying RM137,900 for the V, although it now gets the 360° view camera. Choose the RM143,900 e:HEV RS if the 234 hp petrol-hybrid powertrain, eCVT and its 360° camera matter more than the RM6,000 step up from V. The RM115,900 S is the budget route, but has 119 hp.

Honda HR-V buyer's guides & reviews
Verdict
The HR-V facelift brings targeted rather than wholesale change, with altered front-end styling and RS-only matrix projector LEDs with active cornering lamps. Its four-grade line-up gives a clear 119 hp entry point, two 179 hp petrol choices and a 234 hp hybrid flagship. It starts close to the Nissan Kicks e-Power, Chery O5 and MG S5, but costs far more than the Perodua Ativa, QV-E and Aruz.
