Verdict
The AH40 Alphard is a focused, single-grade executive MPV rather than a broad range with budget entry points. Its GA-K TNGA underpinnings and seven-seat layout form the basis of a modern large people carrier, while the 274 hp petrol drivetrain keeps the specification simple. But RM548,000 is RM100,000 above the Toyota Vellfire and substantially above the GWM Wey G9, Zeekr 009 and GAC M8. Price is the main hurdle.
