Perodua has announced that it is offering a RM10,000 Malaysia Day cash rebate for its QV-E electric vehicle, effectively bringing the price of the Quest for Visionary Electric Vehicle down to RM53,499 under its battery-as-a-service (BaaS) subscription package, or RM77,499 for the full purchase of the EV. In a posting on its website’s promotions page, it said that limited units of the car were available.
This comes three months after a price adjustment for the car was made in June, when the automaker brought the leasing price of the QV-E down by RM10k from its original RM80,000 when the car was launched in December 2025 to RM69,999, with a lowered monthly RM215 for the BaaS package (inclusive of tax, and for nine years).
With the addition of a limited time special RM6,500 rebate for the vehicle (which was supposed to run until September 30), that price became RM63,499 with the BaaS package (again with a monthly fee of RM215 per month for nine years), a reduction of RM16,500 from the very first price. In July, the automaker began refunding that price difference to early buyers.
The June announcement also saw a pricing of RM93,999 to own the vehicle outright (with the car and battery sold together as one unit, fully owned by the customer), with the similar RM6,500 special rebate bringing the final price down to RM87,499 to completely own the QV-E. As it was in the previous price reduction, RM240 should be added on to the price somewhere, given that road tax is applied for EVs now.
As the Malaysia Day RM10k offer is just a pricing rebate and not a price revision, terms applied to the price adjustment made in June should remain unchanged. As indicated then, coverage for the battery under the BaaS leasing plan is unlimited mileage, with minimum 70% battery state of health (SoH) guaranteed throughout the leasing period. For outright purchase, the battery is covered by a limited eight-year or 160,000 km warranty with minimum 70% battery SoH guaranteed.
Existing customers under a BaaS model can’t convert to a full purchase arrangement. Customers who wish to own both the vehicle and battery will have to trade in or sell their current QV-E and purchase a new unit under the full ownership option.
A recap of the QV-E. It’s powered by a front-mounted motor offering 204 PS (150 kW) and 285 Nm of torque, which gets it from zero to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds on to a top speed of 165 km/h. Juice for the motor comes from a 52.5 kWh (gross) lithium-ion phosphate (LFP) battery from CATL. The IP69-rated (water and dust) liquid-cooled pack weighs 405.7 kg, which is around a quarter of the QV-E’s kerb weight of 1,600 kg, making it around 600 kg heavier than a Myvi.
The automaker claims a range on a single charge to be 370 km on a WLTP cycle. It’s ahead of the eMas 5 Premium’s 40.16 kWh LFP pack, which offers 325 km of WLTP range. There is of course a new, larger capacity 47.14 kWh unit just introduced on the 2027 Geely Xingyuan in China, and that should eventually head our way and on to the eMas 5, although there’s no indication as to when.
As for charging, the QV-E’s max DC rate is 60 kW, which takes SoC from 30-80% in 30 minutes. Home AC charging at 6.6 kW takes eight hours for a full 0-100% charge. In comparison, the eMas 5 Premium takes in 71 kW DC and 6.6 kW AC.

P2 said it can guaranteed a 2nd hand value for QVE yet giving this price cut ultimately killed its guaranteed 2nd hand value for its current customer.
P2 probably burn all of its profit (if even have) just to move it qve.
Just bought 2 months ago , now kena 10,000 depreciation , because new pricing . Come on perodua . This is not the way to treat your initial buyers.
Demand P2 to pay the difference. They already pay the difference for 1 customer who bought the qve at the old original price, publicly announce it too so P2 should pay the difference for the customers who bought it recently.
It’s going to be 2030, not 2010, not 2020,
Choose the technology, space, power and comfort wisely.
Many new Gen is flooding the market,
Many watch videos, review, TikTok, YouTube,
People kno better to choose better spec product with up to 10 years warranty now.
Next time compare with other makes. Don’t buy blindly especially EVs.
I will wait for PerutDua to drop this to 43k then I will buy it.
Madani’s fruitful effort in reducing rakyats’ cost of living loads.
scrap the product for better tomorrow, stop wasting time on failure
Not so bad, getting closer to RM500/month subscription like the smaller Ativa Hybrid
Are we having delusions?
P2 chopping prices.
Axia base model.Now QVE.
How about the Jurassic Bezza?
Super compact Myvi?
Outdated Aruz.
Ativa,Alza?
Definitely more ,on the way..as P1 keep launching more competitive models.
They are panicking now that Proton is eating up their sales and offering much better value.
if perodua spent more than 30 years developing their own car instead of rebadge copy paste, maybe they would be producing world class ICE cars and EVs like Kia and Hyundai who are much younger
All this proves that competition is good. For the first time in a long time, Perodua’s product is not doing well from the get-go. They can say whatever they like that this is a one-time promo, but we all know that this promo price is likely here to stay. Also, they did sign a 3 year minimum + 2 years optional deal with Tan Chong Motors to ramp up making & painting capacity, which fits in nicely with this price drop. So the folks at MITI should take note: competition creates the impetus for companies to slash prices.
Next move, RM43k with rims and tyres subscription.
Jgn bg idea bang. Dorang da desperado da tu.
Perodua just rebadge Daihatsu JDM car is good enough.
Stop wasting money and time to create something that become a jokes.
P2 must be feeling the heat from S70 lite. Buy S70 lite, use the difference for petrol and maintenance.
Also please get rid of that awful steering wheel. The interior is very bad compared to the rest of the car.
Statistic don’t lies. Malaysians buy P2 just because it is basically a Toyota or Daihatsu in disguised. P2 cannot sell by itself.
Nay… bring the price down to 60k with battery included then you get our support. Else Perodua can move on to convert this to a ICE and sell it as new myvi!
I think P2 shld come out a hybrid version instead. And sell it around 70k, i bliv it will sell well. As many having a second thought of getting an ev due to living in highrise, which is abit inconvenient for charging. And plz improve the visibility in C pillar as highlighted in paultan review. install a rear aircond vent and readjust the rear seat to improve space and sitting position.
They should’ve just launched with the previous price and added this 10k rebate for early birds. Now rice already turned to porridge.
And should’ve promoted it as a lifestyle EV right from the start instead of the 100% Malaysian EV thing.
If you just want a masculine-looking, C-HR-like EV and don’t mind cramped and cheap interior (and some snide remarks from people), it is not a terribly bad car. Granted not many people fall into this niche market.
RM10k limited time offer for merdeka…
Wait till you see the Christmas special..
Already knew PerutDua mark up at least 100% on this QVE. Pity the die hard fans that bought earlier especially under Battery leasing. Hope they learned their lesson and use brain to calculate next time.
My wallet dah nipis, rakyat faster buy please
