Perodua is offering up to RM9,500 cash rebates for the Ativa as part of its Malaysia Day Deals, valid from now till October 31. Upon checking, the max discount is for the X variant, while the mid-spec H gets RM5,500 off. The range-topping AV comes with a RM5,700 rebate.
This means that based on the RRP of RM62,500 for the X, RM67,300 for the H and RM72,600 for the AV, the prices after rebates are RM53,000 for the X, RM61,800 for the H and RM66,900 for the AV. ‘Special Metallic’ pearl colours (white and red) have a RM500 premium, and it’s another RM300 extra if you want the AV Special Metallic with a black roof.
Launched in March 2021, the Ativa is still the only Perodua with a turbocharged engine. The A-segment SUV – the first P2 to ride on the DNGA platform – is powered by a 1.0-litre downsized turbo triple with 98 PS and 140 Nm of torque from 2,400 to 4,000 rpm. It’s paired to the D-CVT gearbox that’s now a mainstay for the market leader.
Next up for the Ativa, which has never received a facelift since launch by the way, is the hybrid. The Ativa Hybrid was finally confirmed for Malaysia in May, four years after its subscription-only trial programme branded by Perodua a study for EVs and long-term mobility as a service. By confirmed, we mean full local production and sales.
With local production, there’s room for Perodua to introduce its own design changes and suspension tune for the hybrid (the subscription CBU car was a straightforward rebadge of the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid), and perhaps it will come along with a facelift for the entire range? We’ll see.

Madani’s fruitful lowering cost of living effort.Fire sales at P2! How about RV then.
HAHAHA…The prophecy that Perodua will drop prices..was fulfilled.
Thanks to Dr Li of Geely , who launched a string 0f affordable Sagas,S70 base to turbo versions which have severely affected overpriced Peroduas.
This a BLOCKBUSTER YEAR for Proton.
Good for consumers.
Good job,Proton.
Trouble in paradise for P2?
Under Madani proton and Perodua prices going down the wazoo because of his election promise to lower car prices. He kept his promise so he must be reelected!
53k is a really good price for it..not bad..av if it price at 59k and it will be more disruptive..but overall support this innitiative..
scared of anak kesayangan kerala keling?
P2 has to give discounts? Clearly the government is not doing enough to protect them.
Just like the Axia, substantial rebate only for the kosong variant. Totally not sincere…
It would back fire as well because the user experience of first time car owners is with the kosong spec, and that’s what they are going to be associated P2 with later, a cheap tool.
P2 discount logic be like
This car is only RM64K with all tax includ d as a Toyota Raize with all the parts made in Japan and assembled in Japan. Come here with P2 plastic, seats that stain your clothes all red, ugly air-cond control, no AC/AA yet selling at RM74K.
Thanks to Najib by giving geely a chance to buy proton shares and after few years, p2 ego goes down to drain. Got nothing to do with madani promises about car price. Now we can see how fat the margin p2 made those days. A 1.0 with 98ps should be lower than 50k. Utter bollox
Don’t talk about the dude..Aung Sang Suqi is under political hse arrest due to the repressive junta. The dude..not only SRC…51Billion 1MDB scandal.Thank him..r u delusional? anyway,We respect the outcome of the pardon board.
Rafizi’s formula has shown results.
Ativa outlook actually looks great. If when launched, x variant (analogue meter) comes with rear disc brake, free from useless eco idle and adas like bezza x variant, below rm60k maybe i’ll buy. But now rm60k i’ll buy s70 na.
Hahahhaa my friend wanna buy Ativa and I stopped him saying wait first Perodua will reduce price wan, because they are now scared of Proton, since Proton also planning to release mini SUV
After 1 week, finally my prediction came true.
This is the price to pay because Perodua has been slacking all this while with incompetent management. Proton and Perodua compete, and customer benefit the most.
Honestly 53k for that is still too much.
When you can get a BYD for 42k (MYR) in China. All car prices should drop.
Premium cars 50k+ is fine. Tin kosong for 20k is already enough.
Oracle, i wanna buy Traz.. can buy or not or wait somemore?
Wow! Seem you have gifted prophecy like Nostaradamus. Next, what car to buy now and what car should we waiting for in 3 mints to come?
