Zeekr 9X becomes first Chinese car to get the Mansory treatment – suicide doors, plenty of carbon-fibre

The Zeekr 9X is the first Chinese car to be modified by Mansory as the German company expands its product portfolio. Presented at this year’s Auto China (also known as Auto Beijing), the ‘Zeekr 9X by Mansory’ made its debut in ‘First Edition’ guise and features modifications that you’d expect from the brand.

These include a good helping of carbon-fibre parts on the exterior, including a redesigned front lip, wheel arches with integrated air channels, side skirts, roof spoiler and rear apron with a diffuser element and centrally mounted brake light.

Customers will also be able to order “suicide doors” that are rear-hinged as they are on a Rolls-Royce Cullinan. According to the company, a lot of work was put in to mirror the door hinges from the B-pillar to the C-pillar, while also ensuring the entire door opening mechanism, including the door handles, were repositioned to maintain the vehicle’s overall appearance.

“All mechanical modifications are carried out while retaining the standard safety features, and all necessary visual modifications are executed with great care, sometimes using entirely new body parts and a subsequent repaint, making them completely invisible. Only in this way is it possible to achieve a rear door conversion that is both visually appealing and technically perfect,” the company said in its release.

Also new are the two tailpipes on each side of the vehicle that are said to provide a “fittingly powerful soundtrack to complement the outstanding performance figures.” That’s not to say Mansory did anything with the tri-motor plug-in hybrid powertrain, which is left intact. Total system output remains at 1,400 PS (1,381 hp or 1,030 kW) and 1,410 Nm for a 0-100 km/h time of just 3.1 seconds and top speed of 240 km/h.

Mansory’s new FT.19 wheels make their first appearance on the 9X, with the forged units measuring 24 inches and paired with 295/30 tyres. Excessive? Yes, but it is fitting from a company that is synonymous with making cars look striking.

If the exterior doesn’t impress you, maybe the interior will. The 9X in stock form is already quite luxurious, but Mansory thinks it can take things further with touches such as a full leather interior in a bright theme, illuminated logos on the four door panels, more carbon-fibre, a Mansory steering wheel and floor mats as well as carbon-fibre sports pedals.

The 9X is already confirmed for Malaysia and is expected to arrive near the end of 2026. If you’re considering getting one with cash to spare for mods, maybe Mansory’s proposition is something you might be interested in.

It’s a good deal, as long as it is bigger and more comfortable.

However, I don’t think they should dump used cars here and risk you bankrupt replacing engine gearbox Aircond lower arms etc when KO without warranty.

Instead, we can upgrade them to CKD and sell them at an authentic price to benefit Malaysians.
In Japan, the 2.5HEV Alphard starts at over 5.1 million JPY (about RM126k). With IR 4.0, our Rakyat is already capable of fabricating these tech products.

We are already at the next level with the eMAS5, 7, and QV-E high-strength steel, alongside many other global PHEV pioneer rivals doing CKD operations here

Modifying a vehicle that is already at its peak is an incredibly tough task. However, it offers the ultra-wealthy a unique opportunity to stand out from the crowd.

The Mansory team takes immense pride in this ultra-luxurious GT.
