Mercedes-Benz will officially unveil its first EQ model on September 4, the EQC, and has released a new teaser of the electric SUV in production form.
The brief video gives us a relatively good look at the vehicle’s distinctive headlamps, which we’ve seen on numerous prototypes previously. Without any camouflage, we now know that a light bar that appears to span the width of the grille links the clusters on either end.
The frontal view also shows us conventional side mirrors as opposed to cameras like on the upcoming Audi e-tron. The EQC also sports a rather sculpted bonnet and thick trim on the sides of the grille.
As for the other areas, spyshots show a good resemblance to the Generation EQ concept that previewed the EQC. Barring more information, the SUV appears to be the same size as the current GLC.
Also unknown is the powertrain that will make its way into the EQC. On the concept, two electric motors provided a total system output of 300 kW (402 hp) and 700 Nm of torque. A 70 kWh battery supplied power and was good for an estimated 500 km of range on a single charge.
