Verdict

The GLS’s case is straightforward: seven seats, AWD and 362 hp from the sole locally assembled petrol variant. Against listed luxury-SUV rivals, it costs more than the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, which starts at RM625,888, but less than the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV from RM1,088,888 and Lexus LX from RM1,540,000. The one-variant range keeps specification choice simple, though it does not provide a lower-cost GLS entry point.
