Police are looking for a motorcyclist who is believed to have collided with two schoolgirls while they were crossing the road in front of a primary school in Permatang Pauh, Penang yesterday.
Seberang Perai Tengah district police chief Nik Aminuddin Raja Abdullah said that cops tracked the 30-second CCTV video that was viral and found that the incident happened around 7.20 am yesterday morning.
“The incident happened as the pupils, aged eight and nine, were crossing the pedestrian crossing in front of their school. Both suffered minor injuries and sought treatement,” he said in a statement, reported by Bernama. Nik Aminuddin added that PDRM is still trying to identify the motorcyclist to get the full picture of the incident.
Those who have information on the incident are urged to step forward to contact your nearest police station or reach out to investigating officer Hafizi Mansor at 017-5660103 to assist investigations under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Two things here – the collision occurred in front of a school, and the kids were on a pedestrian crossing. Let’s all slow down and be alert when nearing a school and yield to those who are using the zebra crossing. Drive safe.

the motorist once caught, please press charged and once convicted, please whip his butt
No hang him. No mercy just hang, we don’t need filth that just steals oxygen and food resources.
Nolah, he should be pardoned twice, reduced fine and house arrest.
Two things here:
1) Motorcyclist
2) Penang
3 criteria.
3) Kopi-License.
Fully paid guarantee passed license, no need on the road test and no need sit exam.
Mat Cemerlang in action. Bear in mind that such specimens will be 90% of the population within a generation..
There should be a law allowing Police to shoot bikes at sight. Bloody menace, parasites.

sial punya gomen. motor need obey laws for what? its not that they are liable for any road accidents involving them. they are king.
In Malaysia, only 1% of the riders and drivers will stop at zebra crossing, the remaining 99% are really idiots
True, once i was crossing on a white zebra with traffic lights in front of Masjid Jamek LRT and almost got hit by an Axia beating traffic lights. Worst part was the traffic lights had turned red for pedestrians to cross for sometime, the driver basically didn’t care for people’s safety. My quick kungfu saved me and was also able to kick and dent his door.
Lintasan belang putih weii.not yelow color. pintu depan skolah dengan pintu depan Masjid Besar Permatang Pauh. Got masjid/sekolah/pelintas jalan signbod. double line road. many pedestrain area.
Two things:
1. every cars shall have cam recorder
2. the cctv need upgrade highest resolutions
how does that help ? the law still remains un-enforced in most cases.
