Budi Madani Diesel cash assistance increased from RM200 to RM300 for the month of March 2026 – MoF

The ministry of finance (MoF) has announced that the monthly cash assistance under the Budi Madani Diesel initiative will be increased from RM200 to RM300 for the month of March 2026. The interim measure comes amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East that saw the price of global crude oil go up drastically.

At present, the retail price of Euro 5 B10 and B20 diesel in Peninsular Malaysia is RM3.92 per litre for the week of March 12-18, 2026. This represents an 80 sen increase from last week, with Euro 5 B7 diesel, which is 20 sen more per litre, currently at RM4.12 per litre.

In an official release, the MoF said the additional RM100 payment will be provided from March 17 to eligible diesel vehicle owners, including those that fall under the Budi Individu or Budi Agri-Komoditi (farmers) categories.

Prime minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has said Malaysia’s petroleum product supply remains sufficient until at least May this year despite the ongoing conflict. He also previously the government will maintain the price of subsidised RON 95 under the Budi95 programme at RM1.99 per litre – currently RM3.27 per litre unsubsidised.

Basically PH Gomen wan Msians to be able to continue to afford driving cars. They want to keep subsidizing petrol cars with Budi95, diesel cars with RM300 cash, and basically everyone else with Sara assistance. PH Gomen is working for all rakyat Malaysia and not only for the rich.
