Puspakom implements new ‘GiCheck’ booking system, processing fee increased to RM5 from RM3.50

Puspakom implements new ‘GiCheck’ booking system, processing fee increased to RM5 from RM3.50

Puspakom is implementing a new vehicle inspection booking system that is more stable, accurate and customer-friendly, the company says. The new system, called GiCheck, includes automatic integration with JPJ’s mySIKAP portal, as well as a more structured and transparent refund process.

With that, Puspakom also announced that the vehicle inspection booking processing fee will be adjusted from RM3.50 to RM5.00, effective January 4.

The company explained that the processing fee has not been reviewed since the introduction of online inspection bookings in 2017, and the adjustment is intended to support a booking system that is more stable, transparent and customer-focused, in line with current automotive industry needs and user expectations.

The new system will feature updated branding, interface and functionality aimed at improving customer experience and booking efficiency, Puspakom said in a statement.

Justification to increase fee. Why cannot sustain the profit? The service is worse.

ironic, because it was Lock himself who liberealized the market and took away puspakom defacto monopoly- Four new MV15 (B5 Ownership Transfer) inspection centres appointed by MoT to ease Puspakom backlog

Puspakom is a subsidiary of DRB Hicom, whose majority shareholder is Syed Mokhtar Albukhary, not Loke.
