It’s the final stop for Rapid Kuantan, and the last day the buses will ply their Kuantan routes is 14 December, 2025. From December 15, stage bus services in Kuantan will be taken over by Sanwa Tours, which is the operator of Bas.My Kuantan under the supervision of the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD).
This was announced today by Rapid Bus, which has ran Rapid Kuantan since November 2012. The company says that throughout the 13 years, Rapid Kuantan has ferried over 28 million passengers, with an average of 6,000 riders a day. The average highest daily ridership figure was 15,000.
“We truly appreciate every passenger that has been with Rapid Kuantan since 2012. The support of the local community has become our passion to continue to strengthen the public transport system in Malaysia. We hope that the public will continue to support and use the services of Bas.My Kuantan under Sanwa Tours,” said Rapid Bus acting CEO Ku Jamil Zakaria.
