The Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) has revoked the operating licence of the lorry company involved in the recent tragic accident at the Bukit Kajang toll plaza, Bernama reports.
“With the revocation of the operating licence, the company is prohibited from operating or providing any services using vehicles registered under the licence.
“APAD stresses that it will not compromise on cases involving dangerous driving of land public transport vehicles which could lead to accidents and endanger the safety of road users,” the agency said, adding that investigations found that the lorry did not have a GPS device installed.
According to Kajang district police, on the morning of September 27, the lorry in question was travelling from Semenyih to Putrajaya on the Silk Highway when the 42-year old Malaysian driver experienced brake failure before the Bukit Kajang toll plaza. The lorry hit a car and two SUVs, causing the tragic death of a one-year old boy and injuring seven.

license revoked doesnt stop a person from driving. at worse he only wont be eligible for budi1.99 and need to pay RM2.6 for petrol
you are talking about a different license, have you read the article in full?
Indeed. Revoke that license, the owner will just go register a new RM 2 company doing the same business and within 1 day he is back in action. So what?
Again there is no seriousness from this Gomen, if they really wanted to take action go send the owner & driver to jail now!
This is not ur father country la. There is law & order. Must follow due process. Driver is already arrested, company license revoked and I am sure more is to follow.
shoule be easy enough to blacklist the director name from opening future companies
BS logic. You think they cannot open a ‘new’ company using their wife or children names?
a brand new startup company with no prior history track record still needs time to establish and apply for all the requisite licenses and reobtain new assets right.. its not as simply as magically opening a new company continue carrying on business as usual
another suggestion is for Loke to to blacklist and prevent 7 future generations of the company director from registering any company under their names, oh wait i forgot Loke is not Head of SSM so if you want Loke to do the job of SSM maybe maybe pay the salary of SSM boss to Loke first.
1. What’s prohibiting them from operating using another license?
2. The driver have no obligations to check the vehicle condition before operating the vehicle?
3. No serious penalty = no worries.
So conclusion is… tidak apa lah….
And what does this solve? After this zero fatalities is it
Loke has limited powers. its up to other ministries to physically shutdown the company operations, seal their premises, arrest and jail the company directors.
He should be sentenced to death
he will be labelled a murderer for life!
Too bad, ahlokor kena backlash when he mention child safety seats.
So,is this the last accident profiling lack of child safety seats?
Ahlokekor should have shut his blardy mouth…n waited a month to mention child safety seats.
But whether a month later is more suitable, the fact remains.
People dont mind splashing huge amount on cars or exotic mpvs but balk at the idea when approached to install child safety seats.
The puspakom guy that passed the test should be revoked too. The JPJ guy should be demoted.
is the design of loading bed according to our truck body guideline? is the size too large for this type of loads ?
oh ya revoke license that will surely prevent future tragedies
Loke needs to sita the company premises, arrest the company directors , charge them with serious crimes . oh wait i forgot thats the job of various other ministries and govt departments so i guess Loke should also be paid the salary of home minster and law minister if we expect him to do their jobs.
He wants to sweep this case fast so that he can go back to selling more number plates. Thats his main job as Transport Minister. F*ck him!
Hahah…sell plates, give discount to saman, etc. etc…ya lor. Only wait for big accident, then only take action…after a while, back to usual again?!
loke didnt sweep anything if you noticed he immediately suspend company license and issue a statement. compared with all the other various law enforcement agencies which did zero action.
Pretty sure lots of road users out there are without licenses
one solution is to let DAP sorry i mean PAP run the country and within one year malaysia will automatically become as clean and law abiding as singapore
