Lamborghini Aventador SVJ shows part of its ALA kit

Following a successful outing at the Nürburgring, the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ is being teased yet again ahead of its official unveiling at Pebble Beach. Here, we get to see a small section of the vehicle’s top deck without any pesky camouflage.

Like the smaller Huracan Performante, the Aventador SVJ is capable of manipulating the air it passes through using what can only be described as aerodynamic sorcery – the Italian carmaker calls it Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA).

As you can see, the new aero setup is significantly more complex than what you’ll find on an Aventador S. The SVJ features an abundance of vents and outlets to ensure efficient downforce can be generated, highlighted by a large rear wing.

Do they work? Well, Lamborghini has already declared the SVJ as the new king of the ‘Ring by setting a new production car lap record of 6 minutes 44.97 seconds. This is faster than the previous champ, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS that set a time of 6 minutes 47.3 seconds.
