Mazda MX-5 Sport Recaro Limited Edition gets extra kit

An enhanced MX-5 has been introduced in the UK. Based on the top-of-the-range Mazda MX-5 Sport Nav variant in the UK, the model is called the Mazda MX-5 Sport Recaro Limited Edition. It features both interior and exterior add-ons and is limited to only 600 units.

Outside, the ND-generation MX-5 sports a Brilliant Black Sport Aero kit, which comes complete with a front and rear spoiler. On both sides, it is fitted with side skirts, which complement the Piano Black door mirrors. Rims are now 17-inch Diamond Cut alloy wheels with an MX-5 logo engraved onto them.

Going round the interior, it is given Alcantara-wrapped dashboard panel and red stitching on the side panels, handbrake lever and the manual gear lever. The standard heated Recaro seats are also upholstered in Alcantara, but in addition to that, its surrounds are with red piping.

As for the drive, the limited edition MX-5 features a sports suspension with Bilstein dampers, a limited slip differential and a strut tower bar. Beneath the hood, no changes have been made to the 2.0 litre high-compression, direct-injected SkyActiv-G four-cylinder petrol engine, with 158 hp and 200 Nm of torque.

The MX-5 Sport Recaro Limited Edition features standard equipment found on the UK Sport Nav model. Items include LED headlights, DAB radio, integrated navigation system with three-years free European map updates, rain sensing wipers, parking sensors in the rear, smart keyless entry, a Bose sound system, a seven-inch touch screen display and Multimedia Commander.

Already available in the UK, the MX-5 Sport Recaro Limited Edition is priced at £24,295 (RM161,280), while the standard-run MX-5 Sport Nav goes for £23,295 (RM154,480). So guys, would you pay an extra RM6,800 for this limited edition MX-5 with added kit?
