Ford/Mazda Allow Deferred Payments in the USA

Ford Credit and Mazda American Credit have announced that they will allow deferment of vehicle loan repayment for up to 2 payment cycles to the victims of Hurricane Dennis.

“We are committed to our customers. We understand that customers living in the affected areas may experience temporary financial problems due to Hurricane Dennis. With our Disaster Relief Program, customers have one less thing to worry about while they rebuild,” said AJ Wagner, President of Ford Credit North America.

How compassionate of them. This is a great PR move. Builds brand loyalty. I can bet you that these victims will go back to Ford/Mazda for their next vehicle purchase.

For the victims that don’t have homes anymore, they can live in their Ford trucks like the Ford Ranger Tuff Enuff Challenge that has been going on locally?

I wonder if Proton Commerce be as compassionate to tsunami victims.

  • ha i don think proton can be so generously considerate as to allow temperary deferment of loan repayment. firstly it is not in the malaysian blood , secondly it is not the proton policy ( in practice) to care….. about their customer.

Well, i wouldnt say proton would be so heartless… i'm sure they would come out with something like 'its so unfortunate that blablabla… we would like to extend our heartiest condolence to the family involved and our prayer goes with them'… something that wouldnt involve money out of their pocket you know…
